This reversal of one of the crown jewels of the federal government’s climate policies added fuel to the heated public debate over the carbon tax. This policy flip-flop, mixed with poor government communication and sustained attacks by politicians that prey on affordability concerns, isn’t advancing Canada’s economic or environmental objectives.
