Social media was scathing with criticisms in reaction. There are clearly serious global consequences if the emission reduction claims tagged to these offsets aren’t happening in the real world, despite the good work in protecting nature an associated project may do. Greta Thunberg said it showed “the ugly truth of carbon offsetting”.

Does the student-athlete have a responsibility to stay at the college that recruited them; that invests money in developing their talent and providing an education; and what about not signing other players because the wannabe transfer was their first choice? The $30,000-per-athlete price tag is a minimum. OK, I thought.
