In partnership with global tech company Indra, Monash is developing a precinct scale microgrid platform as part of the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) funded Smart Energy City project. The Smart Energy City project will see the design, deployment and operation of a microgrid at Monash’s Clayton campus.

Monies saved from solar system energy production at both districts were reintegrated into academic and operational programming. Enlighted were used for the smart controls that communicates to the Metasys BAS through BACnet. Every occupant in the building now has the lights at the exact lighting level they choose.
