Future hydrogen demand: A cross-sectoral, global meta-analysis
Hydrogen will become an important but not dominant energy carrier in the future. Globally, hydrogen reaches in average 4-11% of the final energy consumption in 2050. In Europe, the relevance of hydrogen is higher compared to the energy consumption in China or worldwide. Hydrogen will play an important role in industry and transport but a minor role in the buildings sector.
