Politics and Climate Change
Why has being good stewards of the planet become political?
Don’t answer. It was a rhetorical question. These days everything is politicized - even who, and who should not be considered a patriot.
So it isn’t surprising that support to fund climate change initiatives often breaks on predictable lines. Ironically though, states that lean Republican are benefitting most from the Inflation Reduction Act. Yet that hasn’t stopped Republican leaders from railing against the IRA and the Biden administration’s profligate ways.
It should be noted that this division predates the current administration. That is evident by the fact that eleven states haven’t established any environmental standards. Watch the video to learn which ones.
