--

After a two-year hiatus, B Lab U.S. & Canada is thrilled to host Champions Retreat once again! We have missed this opportunity to connect in person with B Corps, partners, and other people using business as a force for good.

This year, we plan to celebrate and honor Humanity at Work, bringing our shared human values into how we think about and how we do work. We’re focusing on building community and re-energizing our connections with one another. Champions Retreat 2022 will be an essential forum for mobilizing toward collective action around racial equity, climate justice, and a stakeholder-driven economic system.

The highlights:

When: Tuesday, Nov. 29, to Thursday, Dec. 1

Where: Loews Hotel, Philadelphia

What: This marquee event, hosted by B Lab U.S. & Canada, will provide a space to build community, regenerate, and catalyze movement building.

We’re excited to bring our business community together in person for the first time since 2019 to connect, celebrate, and collaborate at the 2022 Champions Retreat.

Certified B Corporations are businesses that focus on more than making a profit. Discover how B Corps are using business as a force for good by prioritizing people and planet in everything they do.

Why You Should Attend Champions Retreat 2022

Champions Retreat continues to be one of the best places to build and deepen relationships across the community of people working for a better economy for all. We’re shaping this event to focus on transparency, authenticity, collaboration — and fun! Here’s a peek at what to expect:

  • Sharing of innovative best practices that drive positive impact;
  • Workshopping ways to amplify best practices and collaboratively address systemic issues;
  • Communicating our human values and how we can center them in our business values;
  • Celebrating each other and our community.

“We’ve been attending the Champions Retreat since 2015. Every year, we return to our work inspired, refreshed, and motivated. There’s nothing like being surrounded by so many like-minded, open-hearted, and purpose-driven people. But it’s more than just about feeling good about the mission and your company’s status as a B Corp. It’s about using the inspirational gathering to create actionable steps to move your company forward in using business as a force for good.” — Andrew Chae, Yin Yang Naturals

What to Expect at Champions Retreat 2022

We built the agenda to include multiple opportunities for networking, both open and facilitated. There are also curated keynote presentations, group breakouts, and workshops, selected largely through submissions from the B Corp community and responses to a content survey taken by our B Corp community to identify the topics of highest importance.

We’re planning the event’s content around three categories:

  • An Economy for All: How can businesses rise to meet their expanding role in society and create the policies, tools, and programs that address today’s most critical challenges?
  • Advancing Equity & Justice: How might we center the businesses, employees, customers, and communities that have been historically marginalized?
  • No Planet B: How might B Corps lead the way toward a more sustainable and regenerative future? How might businesses center justice in their climate goals and action plans?
