PGE Wins 3 Dharma Karya Muda Awards from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) won 3 Dharma Karya Energi and Mineral Resources (ESDM) awards which were given at the Chairul Saleh Building in commemoration of the 77th Mining and Energy Day, Tuesday, October 4, 2022.

The Dharma Karya ESDM award is given as a form of government appreciation for PGE's commitment to innovation in geothermal development in the country as well as having a very significant impact on the energy sector.

Not only that, this award is also proof that PGE is committed to actively implementing environmental, social and good governance (ESG) principles in running its business.

"I congratulate the recipients of the ESDM Dharma Karya in 2022, who have contributed to the impact of progress in national development, especially in the energy and mineral resources sector. I hope that every ESDM person can work and improve performance through innovation quickly, carefully, and productively so that the ESDM sector can continue to contribute maximally to economic growth," said Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif.

In this ESDM Dharma Karya, there are three types of award levels. The first is the Main level, which means that it has contributed greatly to the ESDM sector and is national in nature. The two levels are Madya, which means that they have contributed greatly to the ESDM sector, and their services are cross-sectoral. And the three Young levels, which are meritorious in the ESDM sector, and their services are sectoral.

PGE received 3 (three) Dharma Karya ESDM Youth awards, namely the first for the ASLI PC-Prove Team who innovated to increase the effectiveness of the Flow Chemical Dozing Pump reading with the DIGIPOT (Digitalization Caliberation Pot) Innovation at the PGE Ulubelu Area, the second for the FT Prove Turbine Team which has innovated to improve the accuracy of troubleshooting on the Turbine Speed ??Sensor with the "SIPUT" (Turbine Rotation Simulator) Innovation at the PGE Kamojang Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP), and thirdly for the FT Prove UPTO Team, which innovates to improve the quality of the Closed Cooling Water cooling system. with the Arduino Mega-based Control and Monitoring Tool Innovation at PGE Karaha Area.

President Director of PGE Ahmad Yuniarto thanked the government for the support and appreciation for the company. "This award is a source of pride for PGE, the spirit of PGE officers to give the best for the company and an encouragement for all PGE officers to continue to innovate in the ESDM sector," he said.

Ahmad explained, in running its business, PGE continues to be committed to geothermal development and ensures the implementation of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) to become an integrated part of PGE's geothermal business. The implementation of these ESG aspects is an effort to provide added value and support PGE to government programs related to the use of new, renewable energy that is environmentally friendly, especially geothermal.

In addition, the development of geothermal energy supply carried out by PGE is also a form of PGE's support and commitment in achieving sustainable development, especially goal 7 (clean and affordable energy), 12 (responsible construction and production), 13 (climate change management), and 15 (land ecosystems) in the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

PGE currently manages 13 Geothermal Working Areas (WKP) with an installed capacity of +1.8GW, of which 672MW is operated and managed directly by PGE and 1,205MW is managed under a Joint Operation Contract scenario.
