Sokoria Geothermal Indonesia, a subsidiary of KS Orka Renewables, completed URC Test of Unit 2 Starting the 3rd Quarter of 2023 with a big accomplishment and key milestone: Sokoria Geothermal Indonesia completes URC test for Unit 2 (3 MW).
We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed the Unit Capacity Rate (URC) 72 Hours Test for Sokoria Geothermal Power Plant Project Unit 2 on Saturday, July 15th 2023 at noon. This test was conducted under the supervision of the PLN Certification Center and PLN UPK Flores.
This achievement signifies that the Sokoria geothermal power plant has officially fulfilled one of the operational requirements to obtain Operational Eligibility Certificate as a last stop before the plant officially achieves the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of Unit 2. The Sokoria geothermal power plant, along with this newly completed Unit 2, are currently producing 8 MW in total.
This generation is connected to the East Nusa Tenggara power grid. Supported by Kaishan's technology, our sponsor, we are one step closer to providing clean energy and electricity supply for the East Nusa Tenggara power grid; more extensively, supporting our nation's ambitious sustainability targets to meet net zero emissions by 2060 or earlier.
