In light of the CHIPS Act, Cadence and other industry-leading companies are collaborating with The Western Design Center, Inc. to create System-on-Chip (SoC) design and tapeout classes for colleges and universities.  These classes ensure that students can learn how to support todays and our future VLSI needs by leveraging the same commercial tools their future employers will be utilizing.  This curriculum has been built to enable academic faculty and students to quickly build a design that can tapeout at a modern fabrication.  With the complexity of modern VLSI designs, it is critical to provide a realistic baseline for development and future exploration.  Completing this course will provide the experience, confidence, and relationships to enable the next generation of innovators to turn their designs into reality.
