As a community of businesses pursuing an inclusive stakeholder economy, Certified B Corporations are calling for policy change to dismantle unjust systems, policies, and practices. From local issues to global challenges, B Corps can speak and act for environmental and social impact.
Right now for U.S. B Corps, that can include defending and supporting voting access and sharing election information with employees, customers, and other community members. As B Lab U.S. & Canada CEO Jorge Fontanez said during a recent LinkedIn Live event on voting rights, “We see this as a natural progression and next step for our community as we move toward more collective action.” You’re invited to join other B Corps working toward this collective action later this year at Champions Retreat 2022!
Why Business Has a Role in Protecting Voting Rights
In the run-up to the U.S. midterm elections this fall, B Lab U.S. & Canada hosted a “Leaders in Conversation” LinkedIn Live event focusing on how businesses can advocate for voting rights and voter access. Leaders from the ACLU and The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights provide a look at current threats to voting across the United States and how businesses can help protect democracy and take action against injustice.
When Integration and Impact Drive Sustainability Leadership
As awareness of social and environmental issues increases around the world, businesses are building their impact through corporate strategies, targets, and goals — an essential foundation for effective impact. But a new survey of global sustainability experts by GlobeScan and The SustainAbility Institute by ERM says organizations must integrate sustainability throughout their operations to deepen their impact.

Adam Kahane, Director of B Corp Reos Partners, shares his perspective on what business leaders can do to make progress amid challenges and uncertainty.
