The approaching end of 2022 brings a natural time for reflection on the collective accomplishments, challenges, and continued growth of the Certified B Corporation community. As Chris Hutchinson of B Corp Trebuchet Group reminds us below, it’s also important to rest and recharge for the new year ahead.

And what a year 2023 promises to be! We look forward to building on the collective energy and momentum from the recent Champions Retreat, and from the progress that B Corps are making in their commitments to climate justice, racial equity, and a stakeholder economy.

B The Change Weekly will take a break over the holidays and return on Jan. 6, 2023. Cheers to new learnings and opportunities in the new year!

How Businesses Can Work for Climate Justice

At the core of climate justice is the recognition that those who are least responsible for climate change are more likely to suffer its most devastating effects, now and in the future. To advance their commitment to climate justice, B Corps are embedding climate action in their business model and ways of doing work and partnering with community organizations.

A Resource to Reduce Workplace Climate Impact

B Corp Reos Partners provided support for a climate action project that produced a new resource for businesses and other organizations looking to reduce their office buildings’ environmental impact. Find innovative developments and replicable processes borne of the challenge in the Empire Building Playbook.

3 Reflections to Wrap Up the Year

Before you log off for the year, Chris Hutchinson of B Corp Trebuchet Group shares a few (short!) reminders to reflect upon. His advice? Make time to appreciate the accomplishments of 2022, then dream big to imagine all the positive impact you and your team can create in the new year!
